Click, click, click, click... the sound of my dog's paws across the hardwood floor. Tick, tock as the clock counts down the day ahead. Jingle, jangle as my other pup shakes her collar, trying to get to that unreachable itch. Hum in the background as the fridge regulates its temperature. Click, clack as my finger type this blog. All these subtle noises are my soft music this morning as I sit, still half asleep yet ready to start the day. It becomes a rhythm. It is like my own personal background concerto to welcome in March. I'm grateful for these subtle sounds. I'm grateful to hear the rhythm and music within them. I'm grateful for my dogs' participation, being like the drum and cymbals to the band. I'm grateful to be the steady beat as my fingers move slowly but rhythmically over the keys. And I'm grateful that the feathered choir is now joining in as the sun begins to rise. What subtle noises are accompanying your space today? How can you enjoy them in this moment? May today bless you with joy and calm. May you find time to add a little music of your own into the day. Have a beautiful day! |
