I'm grateful to wake in a creative mood. I'm grateful to know that I have the power to create my life the way I want to see it. I'm grateful for fun projects like vision boards that help me to really see my vision and focus on what I want for the future. I'm grateful to play around with what I truly want to take shape in my life. When you a preparing to build a treehouse you don't simply start nailing boards up however they lay. You picture it in your head and you see how you want it to look when it is finished. You want a solid platform to support you and other features that support what you would like to use this treehouse for when it's done. So why do we expect planning our future to be any different? Do we not dream of how we want it to look? Was the treehouse then build just by the vision? No we had to put in the effort of nailing one board at a time until the project was complete. Today, allow yourself to dream about the future you want to create. Get a very clear picture in your head. Then take the first steps towards creating this dream. Whatever beliefs are holding you back from dreaming, please let them go. We were meant to soar!

I'm grateful and excited to start a new program today to help me shape my business and make it stronger. I'm grateful for the mentors in my life and the awesome ways we help each other grow. I'm grateful for this new program that focuses on a balance between work and business. I'm grateful and thrilled to be participating in this program with an awesome friend of mine and to be led in it by another beautiful friend. I'm grateful for the journey ahead of us and the fun we will have in this creative process! Today I will take another step towards my dreams and carving my path. I'm so excited! How can you move toward your dreams today? Who in your life provides mentorship and gives you guidance?
I'm grateful to wake to renewed morning light. I'm grateful to wake feeling refreshed and ready to jump into a new day. I'm grateful to feel energized! Today I want to focus on all the little things I take for granted, like a comfortable bed, running water, warmth, and hugs. I'm grateful for all these things and so much more. What simple luxuries are you grateful for? Have you shared a hug with someone today? How can you share your love and gratitude for the simple things as well as the people you love today?
I'm grateful to wake to a new day full of possibilities. I'm grateful for the magic of birds. I love to watch them swooping and soaring. I love watching hawks sitting so still upon fence posts or street lights. Birds are so symbolic, to me, of the grace and courage to believe in yourself. I'm grateful for the love I have for their abilities. I'm grateful for my own grace and courage. What animals do you love and what do they represent to you?
I'm grateful for humor this morning. I woke early and was fully motivated to jump into work, blog about the productive day it was going to be, and plan each minute full of what needed to be done. The universe had other plans. So today I am grateful to un-plan my day. I'm grateful to throw my hands up not in frustration but as an offering to receive whatever is to come. So as I logged on this morning and was greeted with the friendly maintenance screen informing me I would not be working until after 8 and made a phone call to try and check something else off my list and realized that most businesses are, of course, not open before 8 either I un-planned. I moved aside the list of need to dos and asked what I wanted to do. I'm grateful for my bike and the ability to ride inside when the weather is not fit. I'm also grateful on these days to be able to combine it with one of my other favorite activities, reading. I'm grateful to have taken the time to make myself a delicious breakfast and I'm grateful to be back now with my sites up and running and to be feeling even better than I did before. I'm grateful for the hiccups in my plans that make the day even better and I'm grateful to have learned over the years how to roll a little better with the "punches." How can you step back from your to do list today and un-plan? Often I find I get just as much if not more done when I am not driving myself to check off that list. So, how can you roll with what the day brings?
I'm grateful to wake and see the relativity of everything around me. It is cloudy and dim out this morning and yet those clouds help to hold down some heat for us. The temperature is cold and yet it is well above what it was a few days ago. And I'm VERY grateful for that! When it rains we may be bothered that it is wet out and yet it is better when the crops get that rain than when they are without. Everything is relative. And I'm grateful to know this because that means that everything has a positive side to be seen. What is the difference between the bright side and the complaint? Ourselves. That is the only difference. How we choose to see things is how we see them. I, myself, often complain about the cold and yet I know that it is this cold that will help protect my garden from excess bugs in the Spring. So today I make a conscious effort to watch my words and see the brighter side. I'm grateful for the cooler temps because it symbolizes rest for me and makes me want to snuggle in with my dogs. I'm grateful for the temps being warmer than they were because relatively speaking these temps now feel warm. I'm grateful for this day that makes me want to dance around the house and play with my dogs. And I'm grateful for a job I love that I enjoy getting out to do. What comparisons do you make? How can you see today's relativity in a positive light?
I'm grateful for dreams this morning. I'm grateful for the dreams I have while I sleep but more so for the dreams I have while I am awake. I'm grateful to look to my future and dream of the possibilities. I'm grateful to set goals for those dreams and pursue them to the best of my ability and when that ability falls short I am grateful for the people who come into my life that can guide me on my next steps. I'm grateful for people that step up and inspire the masses with positive and powerful messages like Ashton Kutcher's speech at the Teen Choice Awards. "I believe opportunity looks a lot like hard work." (I'm also grateful for his definition of sexy.) To achieve our dreams we have to be willing to take the steps to get there. Sometimes those steps mean leaving our comfort zone. Sometimes those steps mean extra hours or seeking out advice. But I do believe God, the Universe, Spirit (whatever you choose to call it) WANTS us to succeed; wants us to have our heart's desires. And so I am grateful this morning to do the work; to take the steps that are presented to me that I believe will take me from point A to point B. I'm grateful for this moment because I know it is unique. I will never be here again and that when my dreams are achieved I will look back and say thank you for each of these moments that got me to that point. What are your dreams? What were your dreams as a child? How have they changed and how can you move towards
I know I say this often but I am so grateful for my dogs and their snuggly nature. I'm reading a book called The Art of Racing In The Rain and in it there is the thought that perhaps dogs can reincarnate as humans once they evolve enough to override their base instincts. But what if instead we evolved to be more like our dogs. What if we loved unconditionally and always ran to greet the ones we loved at the door? What if the simple thought of a walk outside was enough to make our whole body wiggle with excitement? Sure there would still be some personality conflicts but with a little socialization they could put their differences aside and just play together. What would the world look like if we practiced a little more of their unconditional love? I'm so grateful for my dogs. I'm grateful for all the love they share with me despite my absences and the times like this that I am on my computer and not petting their sweet heads. I'm grateful for the forgiveness they give to me and their ability to accept me as I am. I'm grateful for their cold noses and their warm hearts. How can you show the people in your life unconditional love today? What would be so bad about racing to the door to greet them?
