Did you know that laughter increases endorphins and reduces stress hormones? It boosts immunity and some studies even say it strengthens the blood vessels and the heart. Best of all, it's fun! And there doesn't even need to be a "reason" to laugh. You can simply choose to start laughing, even if it's fake at first and, soon you will be laughing for real. Try it with a friend or co-worker today.
When was the last time you had a good belly laugh? When was the last time you laughed with a child? (They really know how to let loose and laugh.) Give it a try today and see the difference it makes in your mood.
I'm so grateful for laughter. I'm grateful for the silliness of my dogs and how my laughter seems to spur them on more. I'm grateful for my laugh ringing out loud for everyone to hear. I'm grateful to be meeting with a great group today and to be able to share this fun and powerful lesson. I'm grateful for the bird singing in the trees that because of my mood sounds like it is saying, "ha-ha...ha-ha". I'm grateful for this warm, beautiful weather. I'm grateful for the clouds making the greenery even more vivid. And I'm grateful for the way everything seems brighter and more vivid with laughter and a happy heart.
May your day be bright and cheery. May laughter ring out freely and frequently. Have a beautiful day!
