I'm grateful to wake this morning and believe. I'm grateful to believe in myself and in those I love. I'm grateful to believe in magic and fairy tales within the way I define them. I believe magic is everywhere, in all things because I believe that there is magic in the ordinary. When I stop and think of all that has to happen for a seedling to become a flower or the process of it making sunlight into food; to me that's magical. When I look at all the uniquely beautiful faces around me and how each of us came to be; I believe God is full of magic. Some people use the term miracle and I agree with that term. Some people prefer the terms in science and I fully agree with that too. But I call it magic and I believe. I watch the fairy tales of the movies and as a kid I believed that happily ever after meant no fighting and no stress. Some people try to live that fairy tale life and other people say those movies are all just lies. I think the fairy tales just stop short. The movie doesn't continue to show the princess irritated at the prince for leaving his socks on the floor or the prince wondering where their love life went after kids. Movies don't last days. They show you the exciting stuff and the romantic stuff and then they leave you to create how the rest of the fairy tale goes because we all live that normal stuff every single day. And I believe. I believe in fairy tales, not in their perfection but in the imperfect perfection that comes after the filming (or drawing) stops. I believe in fairy tales because I live mine every day. In my fairy tale I am not a maid in Manhattan or a princess in a tower. I do not need saved from an evil witch or a fire breathing dragon or even a crazed taxi cab. In my fairy tale I recognize the symbolism of these things but the only thing I need "saved" from on occasion is my runaway mind that still has some fears from past experiences and knows that it will be ok but sometimes likes hearing it anyway. I am living and creating this fairy tale. I'm grateful for all the people that make appearances in my fairy tale as our stories overlap. I'm grateful for an amazing man in my life that believes. I'm grateful to see the world through the magic and fairy tale lens and I'm grateful for each minute that I get to live it. What do you believe? What fairy tale are you creating? Where is your magic? It's never too late to believe. It's never too late to love. It's never too late to be grateful for the things you have in your life and the people that share it with you. Have a beautiful day!

I didn't think I believed in magic, fantasy, or luck but in reading I believe in your perspective. In film I love foreign films because they often don't have the story book ending and can even leave you wondering where the characters go next and how the story ends. In that sense it it is up to the viewer to decide and relate how they perceive the future events transpire.

I'm glad I could show you a different perspective on those concepts. I like the films that leave the ending to your imagination too. It's interesting to see how different cultures use different techniques with film. Love the diversity!
