Music is a great way to cheer up the day. My husband's alarm that today was set to a disco song was an interesting start and made us laugh. I'm a huge fan of the old "Don't Worry Be Happy" song, as well as the newer Farrell song "Happy". But it could be any song that brings back good memories or just has an upbeat tempo and good words.
Laughter is a great way to increase happiness. Have you heard of Laughter Yoga? If not, check it out! Laughter has so many health benefits besides just making you feel happy. And here in Kansas City we are trying to kick off a Laughter Yoga club so stay tuned to the Rey of Gratitude calendar for some laughter events!
There are so many ways to being happiness into our lives and a lot of it starts with mindset. Finding things to be grateful for is a good place to start if you aren't feeling so happy. So what are you grateful for today?
I'm grateful for the silly song of my husband's alarm and the surprise of not realizing he had changed it last night. I'm grateful for the surprised laugh it gave me when it went off way too loud this morning and I'm grateful to have chosen to laugh it off and start the day on that positive note. I'm grateful to take just a little longer to make it downstairs today so the sun is already up as I write my blog. I'm grateful for my orange owl mug that is holding my tasty morning beverage, milk. And I'm grateful for today and the confidence that all my appointments will go well and provide me with good news today.
