Today I'm grateful to block out the extra noise and get back to the things that matter. I'm grateful to have one more day with my childhood dog. I'm grateful for all the wonderful years we have had together and the love and fun we have shared. I'm grateful to have loving, supportive family and friends. Even though I am sad that the end is near for little dog, I'm grateful to know that the end is a new beginning where there will be less pain and struggle for her. I've noticed in these last days my willingness to do and give her anything I can think of to bring her comfort. It is the least I can do for a dog that has loved and comforted me unconditionally for so many years. Everyone asks what you would do if you knew it was your last day on Earth... But what would you do for your dog when you knew it was their last days? How would you return their love? Today is a sad day for me but also a day of immense gratitude. I hope you can find the beauty in your day today and share your gratitude with those around you.
