I have lost several women (and men) in my life to heart disease. The more awareness we have as a society the more chances there are to save lives.
Eating healthy and reducing stress can go a long way toward lowering your risk. I am not out to tell you what to eat. There are plenty of people out there willing to tell you, if you want to hear it. And I am not going to claim you should get rid of all stress in your life. (In fact, I wouldn't even know HOW to tell you to do that.) But there are some simple tools to use, such as meditation, that can come in many forms and be tailored to your life.
Meditation is not one particular religion. It is a support tool used by most (if not all) religions though it may present in different forms. One form of meditation is prayer, yet it comes in many forms and looks different for nearly every person.
Some of the forms of meditation include Walking Meditation, Guided Meditation, and Breathing Meditation. Even within these formats there are wide variations. Explore some different techniques and see what works for you.
I'm grateful to have a meditation practice. I'm grateful for the opportunity to teach a stress reduction class at a local business and see the benefits it gives the employees to have that time each month. I'm grateful for all the forms of meditation that I can change between to help me no matter what my mood or situation. I'm grateful to wear red today and raise awareness for heart disease. I'm grateful for those that take their heart health seriously and do their best to protect their precious lives for themselves and their families. I'm grateful to share this information with you today.
May today bless you with love and health. May you take the steps to stay healthy. Have a beautiful day!
