As I gaze upon my backyard today I am focused on the beauty of the greenery and the dozens of birds hanging around the bird bath. The backyard is nearly unusable due to the overgrowth that needs clearing. And yet in this moment I see only natural beauty. I find myself wishing I had an artist's rendering of this scene.
Artist's rendering are a depiction of reality and yet often times they are just slightly skewed due to paint styles and the shift to a flat surface. In their talent they create the picture as it looks to them. As birds move around and leaves shift in the breeze, the artist is left to imagine what this moving scene looks like still.
Perhaps a better example, a caricaturist, whose art is purposely skewed to feature one characteristic. But either way, whether you choose to be subtle or extreme in your creation, you are drawing the picture you see. And it is rarely the exact same as someone else looking at the same scene.
What does this have to do with my gratitude today? For starters, I'm grateful to look passed the work needing done and see the beauty of my yard. I'm grateful for all the little birds of all shapes and colors that came to visit today. I'm grateful to be formulating a new image in my mind of creating reality just in time for another presentation of this concept. I'm grateful to have a place to ramble out my thoughts, knowing that feedback usually comes from this freedom. I'm grateful to have this time to reflect. And I'm so very grateful for the work I do that allows me to live my passion each day!
What imagery can you think of for creating your own reality? In what ways are you aware you've been creating your reality each day? Would you like to share an example of when you have shifted your reality?
May today bless you with the ability to "paint" a beautiful picture of your day. May you find a heightened awareness of all the good in your life and may blessings rain down on you. Have a beautiful day!
