I'm grateful for everyone who came out to celebrate today. I'm grateful that even though I forgot my gratitude bowl we still got to practice gratitude with a Thankful Turkey kit brought by my cousin. I'm grateful for all the cute things the kids came up with to be thankful for. My preschooler had a variety of gratitudes from trees to grandchildren...guess that means I'll be a great-grandma someday.
I'm grateful to watch the kids play as a new generation grows up together. I'm grateful for how the younger kids flock to their older cousin and how great he is with them. I'm grateful for all the sharing and caring I witnessed today. And I'm grateful to get to see the different grandmas all interacting with the kiddos.
I'm grateful for a wide range of food and plenty to eat. I'm grateful for all the work my mom goes to in making the turkey, stuffing, and sides. I'm grateful for everyone who helps out and brings sides and desserts. I'm grateful to have plenty to take home for the week.
I'm grateful for all the laughter shared. I'm grateful for the way it fills my heart and soul to get to reconnect with my aunts, uncles, cousins and everyone. I'm grateful for all the love felt today. I'm grateful for the help and support when the baby was overtired and overstimulated. I'm grateful for all fun interactions I got to witness with my older daughter.
What makes Thanksgiving special for you? Who are you grateful for? What traditions feed your soul?
May today fill our hearts and help our gratitude cups overflow. May we carry the love and gratitude with us through the year. Have a beautiful day!
