My own dad has also been volunteering to babysit and take my daughter while I work or get something done. He has even come to watch her swim lessons. It warms my heart to see him involved with his granddaughter and how much she adores him.
There was a time when the kids were the moms' charges. I love that we are coming away from that and offering future generations a well rounded interaction. There are so many things they learn from the male role models in their life and I believe it is a vital element.
My husband does not always parent like I do. He offers her things that I would not consider. Yet these experiences are so great for her as she gets exposed to new things as well as other styles of guidance.
I'm grateful for a husband who is very involved in the raising of our daughter. I'm grateful for the help it gives me as well as the love and experience it gives our child. I'm grateful to see my own dad getting involved. I'm grateful to see their bond growing and all the fun they have together. I'm grateful to also have a brother who is a great hands-on uncle. I'm grateful for all the amazing male role models in my daughter's life. I'm grateful for dads everywhere who are involved and help shape the next generation.
How can you be a role model for future generations? What do you see as the biggest benefit to having strong male role models?
May today remind us we all have something to give. May we remember the beauty and wisdom in having a variety of role models. And may we celebrate the people in our life who take time to make a difference. Have a beautiful day!
