Good morning, all! I couldn't help thinking as I was getting ready this morning the irony we sometimes create in our own lives. If you are like me, we seek out adventures and activities like skiing or skydiving that give us a thrill and make us feel brave. And yet if these same things happened without our initiating it, we wouldn't care for it at all. Falling from a plane or sliding down a mountain, if you were unprepared, would probably strike a very different reaction for you. I know it would for me! One example that came to mind today was white water rafting. I LOVE the rough waters and trying to navigate them with my vessel, water spraying my face and rocks approaching fast. Yet when life throws me these same "bumps in the river" in my day to day life it is harder to find gratitude in it. Today, I am grateful to recognize this double standard. I'm grateful for all the blessings and smooth "sailing" that I usually experience. And today I am also grateful for these rough waters that remind me not only to appreciate the calm times but provide a wonderful learning experience if I pay attention. There is a reason for everything. I'm grateful to know that no matter how the waters look, I am fully supported in navigating them. I'm grateful to let go of any fears that may come up from the unexpected bumps and realize that these too are blessings. Today, I am grateful to rock the boat a little. What lessons have you learned from some unexpected turbulent waters? How can you step back in the moment and give yourself the power to enjoy the ride? Have a beautiful day and I'll meet you down the river.

I'm grateful for great girlfriends and a strong, supportive community. I'm grateful for the practice of meditation that helps me quiet my mind and find the answers I seek. I'm grateful to recognize that sometimes it is my own limiting belief or fear that keeps me from finding the answers easily. When I sit in the quiet stillness of meditation and release all resistance to what the answer may be; that is when I can clearly see it all in front of me. I'm grateful to breathe into this stillness. I'm grateful to see the answers even if they are not what my mind thinks I want in this moment. I know that Spirit always leads me to what is best. And I am grateful for a meditation practice that allows me to find the wisdom in that stillness. So often we ask God for what we want but we do not take the time to ask what is best for us; or we ask and then do not listen to the response. Today, when you ask also take the time to listen. Take the time to still any fears you have about not getting it and ask if it is really what is best. Sometimes the answer is not what we want to hear but it is always what is needed. If you already have a solid meditation practice, I encourage you to explore asking some of your tough questions and allowing the response to come. If you do not meditate (or pray), I encourage you to explore this outlet as a way to rebalance and find the stillness that can be a challenge in this busy world. No matter where you are, know that you are in just the right place and it is your choice where you go from here. I'm grateful to be both teacher and student, both leader and follower in a world that is both complex and beautiful. Namasté.
I'm grateful for forgiveness. I'm grateful for the weight that is lifted by the simple act of forgiveness. I'm grateful to forgive others but also for forgiveness of myself. It seems it is easier to forgive the ones we love who have hurt us than it is to forgive ourselves for the hurt we have caused. In trying to live in love, I find it heartbreaking when I learn I have hurt someone else. And it is so easy to feel that guilt and judge myself for causing that pain. But in stepping back I must recognize that I too am human and make mistakes and I too deserve the forgiveness that I so readily give. So today if you are with a heavy heart and are holding any guilt upon yourself for something you have already made amends for, I invite you to release it. I invite you to share some of that beautiful love that you have for others with yourself. How can you begin to release your guilt? Have you already been forgiven by the one you hurt? Even if you are unable to receive that confirmation of forgiveness from them, it is time to forgive yourself. You are too precious and too loved to carry this weight. I'm so grateful to forgive myself today for any words I have spoken that came from judgements. I'm grateful to forgive myself for acting in a way that did not reflect my heart. And I'm grateful for everyone that is brave enough and strong enough to release their own guilt and give themselves the forgiveness they deserve that provide such a beautiful model for me. Thank you
I'm grateful for the love and beauty that gently surrounds me today. I'm grateful to look out at the world and see a sacredness in all that is living and feel it's energy waking with the sun. I'm grateful for the sound of birds outside my window that add warmth. I'm grateful for this sacred stillness that I feel, much like the feeling after meditation. I'm grateful to see the sacredness in ordinary things and know there is a higher power at work. I'm grateful to hold that sacredness and feel it as love that I give and receive from those around me. How do you feel that sacredness? What simple things remind you that there is a higher power? How can you give gratitude for that sacredness today? I'm grateful for each of you that practices gratitude. I see the sacredness within you. Namasté
I'm grateful for the reminder of balance today. I'm grateful to know the importance of maintaining balance in my life and establishing a routine that helps me even out. I'm grateful for all the energy shifts and changes happening all around me and I'm very grateful to be a part of it all. I'm grateful to take time to rest. I'm grateful to make the effort of clear communication even when it proves to be challenging. I'm grateful to be reminded how important it is to stand up for our own needs to maintain our own balance. Everyone finds balance at a different spot and through different forms of rest and activity. Where is your balance? What self-care and love do you need to give yourself to maintain a balance in your life? What things do you need to learn to speak up about in order to gain support from your loved ones in maintaining balance? Today, try to feel into your needs. What is "off" and what do you need to do about it? You have the power and knowledge to find this center. Happy Monday, all!
I'm grateful for direction. I'm grateful to have had some community time last night to raise my energy levels and share some laughter. I'm grateful for the signs on where and what steps I need to take next in business. I'm grateful to know that there is no wrong direction and that as long as I am moving I am heading in a direction that will get me there. Often times we stop moving until we have the whole plan in view, ironed out, and perfected. By stopping to get all the details perfect, we are no longer moving toward our goal though. While it is important to work out some of those details to get the best strategy, it is equally important to continue moving toward the overall goal in the process. Sometimes it means taking a slightly longer route but there is something to be learned and gained on every route. Today I'm grateful for a world in motion. I'm grateful to know I am part of that motion and an important movement of my own as well. Today I cast away my doubts and move forward with my eyes open for any signs that may direct me to a more direct path. What path are you on? Are you in motion, trying to reach your goals or have you stopped for some reason? How can you start moving toward your dreams today?
Today I am grateful to BE. I'm grateful for the sun coming through the window and the promise of another warmer day. I'm grateful to return to work to help people find a state of balance. I'm grateful for dog snuggles and for delicious food. Most of all, today I am grateful for the power of the phrase "I Am". The words that follow that phrase become infinitely more powerful as self-talk because they emphasize how we treat ourselves. Today, I Am beautiful. I Am strong. I Am worthy. What I Am phrase are you using today? Is it said in love? No matter what is happening around you or how you are feeling in a particular moment, always make sure your self-talk is the language of love and respect. Today, You Are so so loved. Namasté
I'm grateful to be back home today. I'm grateful for a good night's sleep and to sleep in after a night of travel. I'm grateful to get to snuggle my dogs today and show them how much I missed them! I'm grateful and fortunate to have a place to call home and that place is where my heart can connect with my loved ones. I'm grateful to know that home is never far away and that no matter how short or long the trip I can always come home. Where is home to you? What makes a place feel like home in your heart? Is it one location or is it any location that has a certain person there with you? How can we expand our definition of home to mean not just a house but a heart space? Wherever you wander, wherever you roam... I hope your heart is always home. Namasté, my beautiful community!
I'm grateful to be having a wonderful time skiing! I'm grateful my body is strong and resilient. I'm grateful to have had the courage to attempt several jumps yesterday, learning to land them and then pushing my courage to new heights. I'm so proud of myself for getting back up and not losing my courage to keep trying! I'm so grateful for feeling safe and knowing that after a wipeout my boyfriend would be right there to help me up. I'm grateful for the hot tub that restores my muscles each night. I'm grateful to have gotten to venture to town last night for an amazing Italian dinner. I'm grateful to have a few more hours of skiing before this trip comes to an end but most of all I am just grateful to have had such an amazing trip with my amazing partner! What fears can you conquer today? Which fears creep into your day to day thoughts that you can face and conquer? And how can you face them with LOVE, not judgement? Today, be kind to yourself but test your limits. Find gratitude in all the things that give you strength!
I'm grateful to have slept very well after a long day of skiing yesterday. I'm grateful for a warm room and a hot tub. I'm grateful for the sun shining today, calling me back out to the slopes! I'm so grateful to be uniquely me, with my own level of skill and my own special talents. I'm grateful for the confidence to wear silly hats or mustaches or whatever other accessories make me laugh. I'm grateful to keep my playful side even when others choose to "out grow it". Whatever you do today, do it with your own style, your own flair. This is your life and it is meant to be lived in your unique way, not just to meet the status quo. How can you be uniquely you today? How can you find the courage to do what you do best and show it off to the world? I'm so grateful for all the unique individuals I meet each day! I'm grateful for you! Happy Wednesday, all!
