I have had some shadow people in my life. I have been a shadow to others. And I have hopefully been a source of light to some as well. But I have been truly blessed to have many, many angels and sources of light in my life to guide me. And as I am faced with the inevitability that another light in my life may be returning to the angel state, rising above this earthly place, I am both grateful and saddened. Above all else, I feel blessed to have shared the path for this long and blessed for any time we still have together.
I am grateful for all the lessons I have learned about strength, courage, and not being afraid to stand in your own knowledge from my grandpa. I'm grateful for my grandpa's vast knowledge of alternative health and his guidance in listening to my own body. I'm grateful for all the laughs we share and all the deep knowledge and memories he has shared with me. I'm grateful for all the Tuesday night dinners together and all our "drop-by" chats. I'm grateful for his love and gentleness as he showed me, and continues to show me, how people can change. I'm grateful for him and my grandma's love that has always stood, for me, as a beautiful example of soulmates. And I'm grateful to have a warning before he departs so that I can consciously enjoy his presence until that time comes. I'm grateful and proud to carry the name Rey as an honor to him and I'm grateful that I made it legal and official last year. I am grateful for the overwhelming love I feel from family and friends. I'm grateful for all the beautiful people I have met in my lifetime and all the ones that will continue to come into my life. I'm grateful for the reminder that life is transitory but love can cross all realms.
Who has come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime? Who has made a lasting impact on you? And how can you honor and celebrate that person?
May today bless us with a loving embrace. May we have guidance through our challenges and awareness of our angels. May we cherish each day we have. Have a beautiful day!
