The cold does not keep us inside, though I will admit we stay out for shorter intervals. I shrink from the cold more so than my daughter. And it is nice to have a warm home or car to return to warmth.
I'm grateful for the fun art of making my breath dance in the cold. I'm grateful my daughter enjoys this simple game as well. I'm grateful for the warmth of the chiminea and the smoke dance it provides. I'm grateful for the way bubbles are the same yet different in the cold air from when it is warm. I'm grateful for science that explains why bubbles in the cold go so much higher or hold a little longer. I'm grateful for the warmth of my home to retreat to when the chill gets to me. And I'm grateful for warm snuggles from my dogs, daughter, and husband that chase the chill away.
What do you love about cold weather? What other ways are there to play with the cold air?
May today reignite our youthful spirit. May we play and explore our world in fun ways. Have a beautiful day!
