How often do we talk about accepting others? How often do we give love and acceptance to others? Now how often do we give it to ourselves? Why is it that so many of us are so much harsher on judging ourselves than we would be on anyone else, even our worst "enemy"? Today I am grateful for my perceived shortfalls. I'm grateful for each little imperfection that makes me uniquely me and that truly contributes to my perfection. Today I will honor the aspects of myself that I usually critique and I will practice the same love for myself that I openly give to others. Love outside starts within and I will grow my love for myself so that I can shine it even more on those around me. A rock does not judge itself for it's hardness or cracks. It does not pick apart it's weaknesses. A tree does not judge itself on it's symmetry, only caring if it's leaves can reach the sunlight. We hold a beautiful ability to adapt and change but maybe it is time we remembered and honored that in each moment we are perfect. Celebrate your unique perfection today!
I believe the way to a better future starts with gratitude today.
