I lay there for a while until a small thunk on the gutter woke me and I realized I had drifted off to sleep... and then I laid there some more. It was just too magical to get up. When my husband made it home from his night out he came and joined me for a few minutes.
Going to bed I decided to leave the windows open so we could sleep to the symphony of nature. It proved to be a great choice. I love waking to the sounds of the birds and the soft sounds of cars as a few begin their early commute.
I'm so grateful for the sounds of nature. I'm grateful to have had a night to lie under the stars. I'm grateful for the perspective of our deck that allows me to feel I'm amongst them. I'm grateful for the feeling of home and peace that it brings me. I'm grateful to feel renewed by taking this time to reconnect. And I'm grateful for a truly magical night and a sweet morning song.
When was the last time you reconnected with nature? When was the last time you paused to enjoy the stars? May today bless you with plenty of time to do the things you want to do. May you find peace in the activities you choose. And may you feel a sense of connection with this world. Have a beautiful day!
