There in the garden were the first sprouts of green. My Daffodils have not bloomed yet but they have sprouted and with them the excitement that spring is truly near!
I love Daffodils and Crocus because they are the first to rise in my garden, frequently before the last snow has even fallen. They give hope. They are a great reminder that the cold and short days will pass.
There are still some cool days to come. The next couple are supposed to be rainy. But I feel renewed all the same when I see those hints of green peeking through the mulch.
I'm grateful for signs of Spring! I'm grateful for how much such a small and simple thing can lift my spirits. I'm grateful for all the moisture we got this winter that will hopefully help all the plants as they grow this spring. I'm grateful we had a long enough cold to, at least in theory, reduce the number of bugs we will have this summer. I'm grateful for the light in the evening to brighten my commute. And I'm grateful for a relaxing day today to help me adjust to the time change.
What is your favorite signs of Spring? What season brings you the most joy? What is something from each season that brightens your day?
May today boost our spirit. May we find something to appreciate each and every day. Have a beautiful day!
