We took turns reading her books and all sat down to play some board games. There was enough laughter, connection, and quality time to fill my heart. Watching my daughter talk to her farmor, and ask repeatedly to go to her house, filled my heart.
It was a great Thanksgiving weekend and not just because we are so near to the holiday. I am so thankful to have these moments and create these memories for my daughter and her grandma.
I'm grateful to be a part of an amazing family. I'm grateful for the diversity a large family brings. I'm grateful to get to experience both the perks of a large extended family on my side and the perks of a small family on my husband's. I'm grateful Farmor made the drive here to see us and I hope we will be able to see her more frequently. I'm grateful for a sweet, loving child who is always asking to go visit her grandmas. I'm grateful for how it fills all our hearts when we spend time together. I'm grateful for all the cherished memories this weekend brought.
It can be hard to build strong attachments when you don't live close tot he ones you love. How do you make the time special and build cherished memories in the time you get with your loved ones?
May today remind us how important it is to cherish the moments we have together. May we make lasting connections that fill our hearts with love. Have a beautiful day!
